Filip and his wife supports a Romanian family with 13 children and act as foster parents for the eldest son who lived and studied with them in Ghent before he got married and now living and working happily with his family in Belgium.

Filip is also very intrigued by the bigger questions of life: "what is our purpose here on earth, - why do we live" and what are the possible answers.
